Acharyas of the Gurukulam
PARAMA PUJYA SRI SWAMIJI DAYANANDA SARASWATI
Pujya Swamiji is the paramount acharya of the Gurukulam, the founder of the Arsha Vidya lineage, and the guru of Sri Swaminiji Svatmavidyananda Saraswati. He is the most distinguished teacher of Vedanta and Sanskrit in the contemporary world. Pujya Swamiji has been teaching continuously for the past five decades through long and short term courses. Through the long term courses conducted at the ashrams in India Pujya Swamiji has created over two hundred sannyasin disciples who are now distinguished teachers and leaders in their own right, managing centers of learning all over the globe. Pujya Swamiji has been very active in the interfaith movement, and has been at the forefront of many global meetings and endeavors for peace, harmony, and mutual respect among religions and spiritula traditions. Pujya Swamiji is also the convenor of the Archarya Sabha, an august body of religious leaders representing ancient lineages in India. Pujya Swamiji is the founder of the All India Movement (AIM) for Seva that strives to help people in need living in remote areas cut off from necessities and educational facilities. Sri Swaminiji is the disciple of Pujya Swamiji. Having studied at his feet for several years, Swamiji teaches in Atlanta, GA, Saylorsburg, PA, Eugene, OR, and Washington D.C. She is the resident acharya of the Arsha Vijnana Gurukulamj. |
JANANISHRI CHAITANYA
Prior to completing a three and one-half-year intensive Vedanta and Sanskrit course with world renowned Vedanta and Sanskrit scholar, Pujya Swamiji Dayananda Saraswatiji, Janani studied with Swamini Svatmavidyanandaji in USA. Since returning to USA from India Janani has continued her studies with Swaminiji, as well as teaching Vedanta, Vedic chanting, and Sanskrit classes. She currently resides at the Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam satellite teaching center in Eugene Or, which is hosting graduate level international Hindu Studies students during the COVID pandemic. VIDYA RAMANATHAN
Vidya Ramanathan is a Samskrita teacher who actively speaks, teaches and communicates in Samskritam. (She is the author of two children's books in Samskritam. She has pioneered instructional material for learning the Devanagari script.) Swaminiji has merged the two worlds of Samskritam and Vedanta for her. |
